This old silver maple has stood proud in the Wilhelminapark for more than a century. About 20 years ago the tree was felled and it ended up at Stichting Tafelboom. There they liked the wood so much that they decided to keep it themselves and use it to make wall shelves for the kitchen.
But change of food makes food. In my search for unique city wood with a story, I was given these planks for a new destination. And look here, a series of very special serving boards with a lived-in character!
