The angel from Dick Bruna's famous Christmas story has risen. And from very special wood. This angel is made of old oak panels from the Utrecht Gertrudis chapel, hidden between the Catharijnesingel and the Mariaplaats.
This so-called hidden church was created around 1640 by converting a town house that was already 400 years old. Until 1914, the Gertrudis Chapel served as a church. Then it became the Old Catholic Museum, which was merged with the Catharijneconvent museum in 1968. Since 1992, the chapel has been part of a meeting and conference center.
If you also want such a unique angel in your Christmas tree, keep an eye on us! Due to the small amount of wood, only a limited edition is made. Soon available in the webshop.
