Artwork: Stupid restoration
Imme made a series of unique paintings under the name “Domme Restoration”. For this she used ink mixed with grit obtained from the restoration of the Dom Tower. The ink creates unique textures, making each piece different. The designs are based on the four iconic parts of the tower, reassembled in different compositions. Like a restoration, but a little “dumber”.
With the city wooden frame as a framework, the various parts now come to life in a new composition.

“In my work I mainly use pure materials and simple designs to accentuate the beauty of the raw material or the object itself. I have sustainability in mind in all design choices I make, from the manufacturing process to the packaging.
After graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2021, I moved back to my beloved hometown of Utrecht. When I'm not in my studio, I work as a ceramist at Husk Ceramics and as a barista at Loaf.”
